Hello, and welcome to my website themime.org. My name is Bob but I'm known to most people simply as 'The Mime'.
I'm a street mime artist and have been honing my skills since the young age of four when I got my first taste of mimicry by copying sketches seen on TV.
Performing on the street I was approached by a tutor from the legendary Marcel Marceau School of Mime and offered a scholarship for a degree in Mime Performance.
Having completed my Mime Performance Degree with top grades of 1-1 with honours I then proceeded to create a demo reel of my own unique take of a classic sketch. This sketch revolves around one mans struggle (in this case me) and an immoveable suitcase. My exasperating efforts to move the case are documented in this demo reel which climaxes in a comedic and unexpected finale.
This brings me to the purpose of my website, to get my demo reel to as wide an audience as possible, I hope you like it.
